Lee Historical Museum - The Lee Historical Museum is a gem in the middle of a wilderness.Although Lee Maine is a very small town the museum is something you might expect to see in a much larger town. They feature a lot of high quality memorobilia from the late 19th century and on forward. Items are put together in some high quality displays. Well kept facilities and friendly hosts make this a great stop when you're in the area. -- 5 minutes away
Cole's Landing - public beach and boat ramp -- 3/4 mile
Patten Lumberman's Museum - Stop here and satisfy the woodsman in you. This museum does a great job depicting life in the rugged Maine outdoors. The museum focuses on the Maine logging industry. Indoor and outdoor displays await you with an authentic look at life in an early Maine logging camp.
Cole's Transportation Museum in Bangor - Rain or shine you have got to stop here! This is a large museum and well worth the trip. Trains, trucks, cars, fire engines, snowmobiles and much more. They even have primitive pop-up tent trailers that might have been used for camping in Maine 70 years ago! The museum also features a well done display dedicated to our veterans. Affordable and very educational. -- about 1 hour south.
Bangor Mall - If a Maine camping experience gets rained out then you can stay busy here. -- about 1 hour south.
Baxter State Park - Mt. Katahdin
City of Lincoln - Located 11 miles away. This small city has anything you might need in the way services and shopping.
Wilderness -- all around you.
Moose watching - If you visit be sure to bring the binoculars. A Maine camping experience often includes quite a bit of wildlife. The locals can point you to the favorite haunts of wildlife. Watch the bog's and medians while traveling up the interstate. Quite often you'll see one.
